New guide allows film buffs to stay in hotels that feature in some of the most famous and critically acclaimed movies

Having put together an exclusive list of ten of Hollywood’s Hotel highlights, Expedia are giving travellers the opportunity to live out their favourite movies in real life, accompanied by interesting facts and trivia about each famous hotel.

They have compiled a list of ten of Hollywood’s biggest leading hotels featured in some of the most critically acclaimed films of our time. To entice travellers to stay at some of the world’s most recognised hotels, they have carried out research and also put together facts, statistics and interesting trivia for each of the hotels in an exciting, easy-to-read infographic.

The list of star-studded hotels includes:

  • Lucy – Hotel Regent Taipei
  • Lost in Translation – Park Hyatt Tokyo
  • Casino Royale – Grandhotel Pupp, Karlovy Vary
  • Midnight in Paris – Le Bristol Paris Hotel, Paris

  • In Bruges – Relais Bourgondisch Cruyce, Bruges
  • Vicky Cristina Barcelona – Hotel De La Reconquista, Oviedo

The research into the famous hotels delved into details such as: Worldwide Box Office, Oscar nominations, number of rooms, famous patrons and trivia facts about each hotel and its film. It aims to allow film fanatics and adventurous travellers to enjoy a stay at a famous a hotel whilst being informed of the unique and alluring facts about each one.

Some of the research carried out on the selected hotels, includes notes on which room in ‘Room with a View’ actually is and how 1,268 people took refuge during the Rwandan genocide which happened where Hotel Rwanda was filmed.

With this new research being translated into an infographic, travellers are able to book to stay in these famous hotels whilst learning new facts about their Hollywood history; intensifying the enjoyment of their stay.
