NCL Removes Mask Requirement

Norwegian Cruise Lines have announced that starting next month, masks will no longer be required onboard their cruise-ships

Norwegian Cruise Lines have announced that starting next month, masks will no longer be required onboard their cruise-ships.

According to NCL’s website, the requirement to wear a mask onboard will be removed on the 1st of March. However, NCL have emphasised how the decision to wear a mask is at guest’s individual discretion.

Currently, NCL requires all guests over five years old and crew to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

In a statement on their webpage, NCL highlights their recent change. “Our cruises will operate with 100% vaccination of crew and guests age five and over, therefore face coverings are not required while onboard,”

“However, we recognise the added protections provided when wearing a mask covering and recommend that all guests do so onboard when indoors, except when actively eating or drinking, or seated at a table in a dining setting, or when in their stateroom.”|
