Belfast’s Glider became a moving stage as the 4 Corners Festival presented Come Glide With Me, a live journey across the city combining music, spoken word and conversation.
Travelling from west to east, passengers were invited to share the journey with others from different parts of the city. Singer and poet Jim Deeds performed live onboard, while festival participants shared readings and reflections along the route.
The journey ran from St John’s Church on the Falls Road to Stormont Presbyterian Church, with festival committee members Martin Magill and Maggie Matheson offering commentary on the places passed, linking the physical route to the festival’s theme of journey.
At Stormont, participants were welcomed for refreshments and activities designed to encourage connection and dialogue, before returning west. The event highlighted the festival’s commitment to accessibility, sustainability and bringing people together across Belfast.
