MSC Responds to Uniworld Lawsuit – “Liability in this Matter is Still Under Investigation”

MSC has spoken out after Uniworld initiates court proceedings over collision in Venice last June saying - "liability in this matter is still under investigation"

MSC has said that “liability in this matter is still under investigation” and it is “committed to continuing to cooperate fully in order to resolve this matter”.

Following the news this morning that Uniworld is suing MSC after Uniworld’s River Countess was struck by MSC Opera while docked in Venice last June, a spokesperson for MSC cruises has told NI Travel News: “MSC Cruises has been working constructively with all parties and their legal advisors since shortly after the incident, and has been facilitating a close cooperation between those involved including their insurers.

“As liability in this matter is still under investigation by the responsible authorities it is inappropriate to comment further at this stage. MSC Cruises is committed to continuing to cooperate fully in order to resolve this matter.”
