Moroccan Hotel Undergoes An Extensive Renovation

New experiences include a new underground wine bar, a new 20-seat private cinema for hotel guests to view movie classics or new releases and reimagined bar spaces

The country suspended travel after concerns over Covid 19. However, Marrakech airport will resume international flights from 7th February. The vibrant city of Marrakech has long inspired travellers, dreamers, romantics and wanderers. 

Marrakech’s hotel La Mamounia has recently undergone an extensive renovation creating new guest experiences including a private cinema, reimagined bar spaces and new restaurants in partnership with celebrated chefs, Jean-Georges Vongerichten and Pierre Hermé.

One of the world’s most recognised and respected chefs, Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten oversees a brand-new Asian restaurant, L’Asiatique par Jean-Georges. Guests will now find the Salon de thé by international pastry chef, Pierre Hermé, serving breakfast, afternoon tea and gastronomic snacks.

La Mamounia’s historic Churchill Bar has been further enhanced, with the 20-seat bar now offering the opportunity taste La Mamounia’s special Caviar Maison, made specifically for the hotel from the oldest caviar factory in Paris, Kaviari.

Additional new experiences in this garden sanctuary includes a new underground wine bar, L’Oenothèque, where up to 12 guests can sample selected grand cru wines or dine surrounded by more than 2,000 bottles of wine, and a new 20-seat private cinema for hotel guests to view movie classics or new releases.
