Miami Beach Mayor Dan Gelber has lost patience with the unruly behaviour of visitors during spring break.
A curfew was imposed following two fatal shootings last weekend in Ocean Drive while the sale of alcohol was banned after 6pm.
Gelber said: “We don’t want spring break in our city. It’s too rowdy, brings too much disorder and it’s simply too difficult to police.
“While most may come here to enjoy Miami Beach, a few come with bad intentions in the presence of guns.”
