Medallion Takes Over from Cruise Cards

Crew members on the 3,560-guest Regal Princess have marked the ship now being fully Ocean Medallion-activated by cutting up the last ever cruise card used onboard

The Medallion, which is around the same size as a 10p piece and offers a wealth of enhancements to the guest experience, has now completely replaced cruise cards on the vessel.

Tony Roberts, Vice President Princess Cruises UK & Europe, said: “Having recently used the Medallion myself I can confirm that from a speedier embarkation process to keyless stateroom entry, guests can make the most of their time onboard and enjoy everything our ships have to offer.”

Princess Cruises has just announced 12 maiden ports of call for this year, complementing the 380 destinations the line currently sails to across all seven continents.

For British guests there is the opportunity to make an inaugural visit to Rockland, Maine, directly from the UK via a 24-night Canada & New England voyage sailing roundtrip from Southampton. The cruise departs in September on the 2,670-guest Sapphire Princess as part of the ship’s full Southampton season from April to October.
