Major UK Airline and Tour Operator Gears Up for Busy Bank Holiday Weekend

Destinations such as Spain, the Canaries, Portugal, Croatia, Greece, Turkey, Italy, Malta, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Montenegro and Morocco all have a busy programme planned this weekend

Jet2 is reporting record-breaking numbers of customers jetting off to the sunshine from airports across the UK this weekend (Bank Holiday Weekend).

Destinations such as Spain, the Canaries, Portugal, Croatia, Greece, Turkey, Italy, Malta, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Montenegro and Morocco all have a busy programme planned this weekend.

The early-May Bank Holiday is often seen as the start of the summer, and with operations ramping up as summer hots up, Jet2 is reporting that it will see a double-digit percentage increase in customers departing between Saturday and Monday when compared to the same period last year.

A fleet of 139 aircraft will be taking customers on their holidays from 14 UK airports to destinations across Europe, the Mediterranean, Canary Islands and North Africa.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2, believes this Customer-First approach makes a big difference with customers:

“Looking at the number of people jetting away with us to the sunshine this May Day Bank Holiday weekend, it is clear just how much people are looking forward to enjoying their hard-earned holidays.

“As always, every single colleague, including our famous Red Team, is ready to look after customers and we know that our level of care is a real point of difference. We are operating our scheduled programme and delivering our award-winning customer experience as normal, and we cannot wait to welcome everybody onboard.”
