Magaluf Tourists Sign Up for Good Behaviour

Tourists heading Magaluf bound may soon need to promise, contractually, to good behaviour

Magaluf, Majorca’s party hotspot, is clamping down on bad behaviour by requesting holidaymakers sign a ‘code of conduct’ which is an attempt to stop the rowdy behaviour that has become synonymous with the great Magaluf getaway.

Holidaymakers could soon be faced with the contract upon arrival at their hotels, and will discover that jumping off balconies will not be tolerated. Bars in the area will also be prohibited for fuelling drunken tomfoolery be scrapping drinks promotions and happy hours.

Majorca’s hotel association are encouraging their members to get on board with the new measure in Magaluf and S’Arenal for the code coming into practice this summer. Guests of hotels that decide to implement the rules will sign and date the document and give their passport and room information at check-in. Guests who do not adhere to the rules may be removed from the establishment immediately and authorities my be contacted if necessary.

The document is an optional for hoteliers but is recommended by the Majorca hotel federation which has 900 members hotels across the island of Majorca.
