Eurovision has announced the shortlisted UK cities which could be the future host of Eurovision 2023.
NI fans were disappointed to find that Belfast was not on the list, alongside their Welsh counterparts who also were not included in the shortlisting.
Belfast City council had made an agreement yesterday (11 August) that if shortlisted, they would make a bid to host the European final In the city.
Belfast was named the city of Music back in 2021.
A total of seven cities were shortlisted including:
Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle and Sheffield.
Eurovision 2023 was set to be held in Ukraine, however, once announced that the country would be unable to host it, the UK runners up took on the commitment.
