LATA Shares Delight as Chile Opens for UK Visitors

From 1 November, travellers will need to present a negative PCR test on arrival into Chile as well as show proof of double vaccination

LATA is delighted to see that Chile is lifting the quarantine requirements for UK visitors. From 1 November, travellers will need to present a negative PCR test on arrival into Chile as well as show proof of double vaccination. Once in the country, travellers must then take another PCR test.

Danny Callaghan, CEO of the Latin American Travel Association says:

“After a slow 18 months, I am thrilled to see UK travellers are once again able to visit Chile. This iconic destination has one of the best Covid programmes in the world, and I’m pleased that they are now seeing the benefits of tourism returning. This also bodes well for the Antarctic cruise season, with many vessels set to depart from Chile. I see this as the beginning of a long-awaited recovery for the wider region.”
