American passenger carrier, United Airlines, have expressed delight at the reopening of the US borders as bookings rocketed above 2019 levels for the first time since the pandemic.
A Spokesperson for the airline said,
“In the days immediately after the U.S. announced it would reopen to international travel, United’s trans-Atlantic bookings for November and beyond exceeded 2019 levels for the first time since the start of the pandemic. We’re ready and eager to welcome international customers back – United is the largest trans-Atlantic and trans-Pacific carrier, as well as the airline with the most flights to Central America.
Our mobile app and website have what customers need to get ready, including details about destination-specific requirements, the ability to find and schedule COVID-19 tests and upload vaccination records, as well as order BinaxNOW Home Tests that can be packed in a carry-on and administered overseas.”
Late last week the US announced it will reopen its borders to vaccinated travellers from 8 November 2021.
