Jet2 Warn Travellers of Potential Flight Disruption Due to Adverse Weather Conditions

Due to adverse weather conditions across the Eastern Mediterranean and Balearic Islands, Jet2 are warning passengers of potential flight disruption.

This warning is currently in place from Monday 1 July 2024 until Wednesday 3rd of July 2024.

The statement reads, “We are currently experiencing some Air Traffic Control slot delays on flights that are due to arrive, depart or fly across the Eastern Mediterranean and the Balearic Islands, this is due to adverse weather conditions (Thunder Storms) in many parts of Eastern Europe.”

The airline further highlighted, “All Jet2.com flights are operating. Where possible we will board flights as close to on time as possible, this will allow us to to achieve a departure as soon as we are given clearance from Air Traffic Control. We apologise in advance if this causes an extended wait on board before you depart.”

Yellow and amber weather warnings have been put in place across mainland Spain. While the Balearic Islands are currently experiencing a yellow weather warning for heavy rain and storms.

Further predicted weather disruption is expected with heavy rain set to sweep across countries in Mainland Europe.

Jet2 have advised passengers travelling that, “If you are currently on holiday and experiencing bad weather, please allow plenty of time to get to the airport and allow for potential bad road conditions on route.”

The airline has stated to ensure contact details are up to date as affected passengers will be contacted via the number and email associated with the booking.
