Data by leading travel intelligence company OAG has shown, once again, that Jet2.com is the most punctual airline in the UK. The leading leisure airline has outperformed all other UK airlines for On-Time Performance (OTP) in 10 of the previous 12 months, including every month in 2019 so far.
As Jet2.com kicks off its biggest ever summer programme, the OAG data shows that the airline achieved the best OTP for the majority of Summer 18. Jet2.com outperformed all other UK airlines in June (82.6%), July (85.4%) and September (88.9%), with June and September’s performance more than 5% ahead of any other UK airline.
This trend continued into Winter and now into 2019, with Jet2.com topping the rankings every month since December. Last month (April 2019), Jet2.com operated 100% of its flights with no cancellations, and achieved an OTP of 92.9%, more than 3% ahead of any other UK airline.
This has been achieved despite a significantly expanded flying programme, with more aircraft flying more routes than ever before. During peak periods last summer, the UK’s third largest airline flew over 350 flights every day to and from its nine UK bases, and this summer the airline has a fleet of 100 aircraft in operation.
