Jet2.com and Jet2holidays Extends Travel Suspension Until July 15

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays had been due to restart their flight and package holiday programme from July 1, but have now extended the suspension

Jet2.com Jet2holidays had been due to restart their flight and package holiday programme from July 1, but have extended the suspension until July 15.

In a statement, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays said: “In view of the ongoing travel restrictions that are in place as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have taken the decision to recommence our flights and holidays programme on July 15th. The health and safety of our customers and colleagues is our absolute priority, and we are continuing to monitor the situation very closely.

“We know there is a lot of pent-up demand for our award-winning flights and holidays, and we cannot wait to take customers away on their well-deserved holidays again.

“Where customers are affected by programme changes as a result of today’s announcement, we would like to remind everyone that Jet2.com and Jet2holidays was recently recognised as the best airline and best tour operator in the UK for how we have been treating customers in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, according to a major investigative survey by MoneySavingExpert.com (MSE). We can assure everyone that they will continue to receive this same level of VIP customer service.

“Customers who were due to travel before July 15th do not need to contact us. We are continuing to proactively contact customers to discuss their options, one of which is rebooking their holiday to a later date. We know just how important holidays are to our customers, and how much they give customers something to look forward to, particularly after a difficult time such as this. If a customer has a booking that is due to depart on or after July 15th, the booking is subject to our normal terms and conditions.

“We are working closely with all relevant authorities to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone enjoying our flights and holidays, and we will be introducing a range of safety measures on our aircraft and transfer vehicles. We are also working closely with airport, hotel and tourist board partners to ensure that appropriate health and safety measures are implemented. Further details will be announced in due course.

“We have been very busy looking after our customers through what has been a difficult time for them, and we are looking forward to resuming what we do best – delivering award-winning flights and package holidays you can trust.”
