Jet Off to Japan with Finnair’s Fantastic Sale Fares for the Ski Season’s Start in Sapporo

Enjoy a piste of the action in Sapporo this winter with Finnair flights

Finnair launch fantastic sale fares to Sapporo in Japan to get the winter ski season off to a flying start.

Customers flying from the UK can enjoy major savings with Finnair, which is the only European airline to offer flights to the stunning Japanese ski resort.

The new seasonal service to Sapporo begins on 15 December 2019 and offers twice-weekly flights on an Airbus A330, departing Helsinki every Sunday and Thursday, until mid-March, saving up to two-hours on indirect flights.

Thanks to Finnair’s non-stop service, customers can also check their skis and baggage direct through to Sapporo from Heathrow. This avoids the time-consuming hassle of re-checking luggage during the transfer from international to domestic flights in Japan offered by other airlines, to reach Sapporo.

Once there, customers can enjoy Sapporo’s world-famous fresh powder snow and winter-themed activities in a traditional Japanese setting, renowned for its breath-taking landscapes.

Andrew Fish, Finnair General Manager UK & Ireland & Benelux, said: “We’re thrilled to get the ski season off to a flying start for our customers this winter, with these special fares to the stunning ski resort of Sapporo.

“From now until 9 October, leisure and business travellers can choose from a selection of great value flights to Japan via Helsinki. We hope our customers will also enjoy our fantastic fares to the amazing Japanese cities of Tokyo and Osaka, which showcase the very best the country has to offer.

“Japan is hugely popular with our customers so we are sure that this, our fifth Japanese destination, will offer them even greater choice. It will also further enhance our growing route network in the Far East and ensure Finnair continues to be the biggest European carrier flying to Japan.”

As well flying to more destinations in Japan than any other European carrier, Finnair is also part of the Joint Business to Japan, along with fellow oneworld airlines, British Airways, Iberia and JAL.

Finnair’s new flights make it easier and more cost-effective than ever for ski lovers to enjoy a piste of the action in the Far East this winter thanks to quick and convenient connections via the carrier’s home hub at Helsinki Airport and flying the short Northern route to Japan.
