This weekend, AMAZE at W5 presents the return of The Belfast Blitz Experience. The Belfast Blitz Experience is an immersive theatre production, in association with the award-winning writer and director, Dan Gordon.
The Belfast Blitz Experience is returning to W5 after a successful run of shows back in Easter 2022.
Written and directed by Dan Gordon and starring Jo Donnelly (Rough Girls/Mimi’s World/Nova Jones, BBC) and Marty Maguire (Vikings, Amazon Prime; The Fall, BBC.) The Belfast Blitz Experience utilises multi-screen projection and state-of-the-art 360-degree audio-soundscape technology, alongside the emotive live performance of Donnelly and Maguire.
This dynamic and innovative performance paints a picture of Belfast during World War Two leading right up to the night of the first raid on 7th of April 1941. The Belfast Blitz Experience contains archive images of Belfast at the time of the Blitz, images which were sourced from the Belfast Telegraph and the PRONI (The Public Records Office Northern Ireland.)
The Belfast Blitz Experience is running on Friday 17 March – Sunday 19 March and Saturday 25 March – Sunday 26 March. Showtimes are 12:30pm and 2:30pm on these selected dates.
This experience is an add-on and tickets are priced at £5 per person. Tickets to the Belfast Blitz Experience can be purchased on the ‘upgrades’ page when booking General Admission Tickets to W5. The experience lasts approximately 45 minutes.
