Israel To Drop All Remaining Restrictions

Israel have announced that they are set to remove all remaining Covid-19 travel restrictions on Saturday 21st May

Israel have announced that they are set to remove all remaining Covid-19 travel restrictions on Saturday 21st May.

This change means that international arrivals will be permitted entry into Israel regardless of vaccination status. Travellers will no longer be required to provide evidence of vaccination against Covid-19, a recovery certificate or a negative PCR or antigen result.

It remains mandatory for travellers to complete a passenger entry declaration form up to 48 hours prior to travel, a measure which was in place prior to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Speaking on this change which is set to come into effect on Saturday (21st of May), Director of the Israel Government Tourism Office in London, Sharon Ehrlich Bershadsky stated, “This is the news we have been waiting for for more than two years.”

“It has been our highest priority to make the process of entering Israel the easiest it can be while responsibly looking after our passengers’ health and safety.

Further stating that, “With Israel joining many other countries in dropping all Covid restrictions, I am hopeful the travel industry has now reached a crucial milestone in this post-pandemic world.”
