Israel has awakened to a blanket of snow covering major cities such as Jerusalem.
The snow storm has affected major roadways, schools and businesses across the region due to the uncommon occurrence.
The Mediterranean witnessed the winter storm reach countries at the beginning of the week which seen disruption placed on travel due to high winds and heavy rain.
Turkey and Greece both suffered a similar fate to Israel at the beginning of the week which seen many flights and sailings cancelled across the countries.
