The Irish Government has announced that it is developing a Franco-Irish rail and ferry ticket that would cover travel between France and Ireland.

The agreement was reportedly signed when Taoiseach Micheál Martin paid a visit to French President Emmanuel Macron last week.

It’s expected the ticket will come into effect by next summer.

The Rosslare Europort will reportedly become one of the key beneficiaries of the new scheme especially given the port’s close proximity to the railway line.
