The Norwegian concept joins sauna warmth with harbour cold water dips

Ireland’s first floating sauna has officially opened, hoping to attract visitors and locals alike.

Opened at Dún Laoghaire Harbour the sauna marks a new addition to the harbour’s growing mix of leisure and wellness amenities. Set against the backdrop of Dublin Bay, the sauna offers a unique coastal experience, combining heat therapy with the benefits of a cold plunge pool.

Speaking at the launch, Ireland’ Leas-Cathaoirleach Pierce Dargan welcomed the initiative, highlighting the importance of activating the harbour in new and engaging ways that connect people with the water. A special mention was given to Helios Sauna and Harbour staff, whose vision and partnership brought the project to life.
