Ireland Could Move to Require Negative Covid Test for Inbound Travellers

The Irish government are today discussing moving towards the reintroduction of negative Covid-19 tests for inbound travellers.

The plan would mean everyone entering the county would have to get a “professionally administered” PCR or antigen test a maximum of 72 hours before travelling.

Ministers have suggested that testing is preferable to last year’s situation where non-essential travel was advised against or not allowed.

There are currently no travel restrictions between the Common Travel Area.
