US holidays on the up as property management platform Guesty reveals latest data.
Findings from this latest data pull that US STR reservations for Christmas 2022 (23rd-27th December) are +18% on the same period in 2021 with many travellers opting to book longer Christmas vacations.
The Christmas period average nightly rate stands at $609/per night across the US: +4% on 2021 ($587/per night) and +47% on 2019 ($325/per night).
Guesty’s data also shows the majority of US Christmas bookings are for an average of 5 nights per reservation, showing how many US travellers are making up for lost time by booking longer Christmas breaks to spend more time with friends and family across the country following two years of travel restrictions, along with tourists flocking to the destination.
Additionally, the average nightly rate for New Year’s Eve bookings (31st December 2022) stands at $303/per night across the US with bookings expected to boom for this period also.
