Some 300 passengers set off for a Caribbean cruise direct from Belfast International Airport on Saturday.
The UK’s largest independent travel agent exclusively chartered the direct flight to Barbados to take customers on a winter sunshine escape, with the added ease and convenience of flying from their local airport.
Hays Travel staff welcomed their passengers at Belfast International Airport’s check-in area and joined them at an exclusive airside drinks reception.
Fully escorted throughout by Hays Travel staff, the two-week cruise on board P&O Cruises’ ship, Arvia, takes guests on a Caribbean journey around islands including Grenada, St Lucia, St Marteen, and Antigua.
Hays Travel Downpatrick branch manager, James Burke, was there to greet customers on the day. He said: “On Saturday, we had the pleasure of greeting our excited guests at the airport as they began their journey to Barbados. It was a wonderful sight to see so many happy customers – some of whom were celebrating big birthdays – all eager to set sail on what promised to be an unforgettable adventure.”
Hays Travel’s Head of Cruise, Catriona Parsons, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be able to bring this unique offer of our own direct flights to Barbados from Belfast International Airport, along with the amazing experience of a P&O Cruises Caribbean cruise.
“Winter 2025, 2026 and 2027 exclusive fly-cruise holidays from regional airports are on sale and selling exceptionally fast, so we advise customers to get in touch now if they’d like some winter sun to look forward to!”
