Hawaii have announced that they are set to ease restrictions for domestic visitors.
Domestic Visitors will no longer be required to fill out a Health Form prior to their arrival.
Prior to this announcement, out of state visitors were required to fill out a Health Form 24 hours before arrival and would receive a QR code once their details were verified.
Hawaii have also relaxed isolation and quarantine guidelines, in order to align with CDC guidance.
With the mandatory quarantine period for unvaccinated travellers reduced from 10 days to 5 days. Isolation periods have also been reduced down to 5 days.
Speaking to reporters, State Epidemiologist Dr Sarah Kemble stated “We are adopting the CDC recommendations to blunt the current very rapid spread of the Omicron variant. These guidelines are practical to implement, making it easier for people to do the right thing,”
Adding that, “there is still much we do not know about transmission dynamics of the Omicron variant. We will continue to follow the science.”
US Visitors can still visit Hawaii, quarantine-free given they have proof of vaccination or a negative test.
