Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife brings forward its reopening to 13th November under newly-implemented safe and sound programme

Following the addition of the Canary Islands to the UK’s safe travel corridors list by the UK Government, Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife, part of Palladium Hotel Group, is bringing forward its reopening to 13 November 2020 and is now preparing to welcome guests in compliance with recommendations from local health officials.

To help keep guests and team members safe and healthy, the property has implemented SAFE + SOUND, a best-in-class programme focused on enhanced cleaning practices, social interaction guidelines and workplace protocols. The programme was developed by a team of hospitality and gaming experts in collaboration with worldwide health and sanitisation specialists, including Ecolab and NSF. Under the new standards established by SAFE + SOUND, Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife has passed a rigorous 272-point inspection independently assessed by NSF.

The SAFE + SOUND programme implements the highest level of safety, sanitisation, and employee training. From the initial welcome at check-in down to each detail inside guest rooms and common areas throughout the property, there is a heightened focus on cleanliness. Additionally, Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife team members have been trained by Ecolab cleaning experts on proper disinfection procedures. SAFE + SOUND protocols include, but are not limited to:

  •  Temperature checks for every team member, guest, and supplier upon arrival
  • Social distancing markers placed six feet (two metres) apart where lines can form  Mandatory masks for all team members
  • Masks required for guests in designated areas, such as check-in and lifts
  • Seal of SAFE + SOUND on every guest room door upon arrival
  • Increased cleaning and disinfecting frequency for high-touch surfaces across public areas, meeting rooms, dining areas and public restrooms
  • Hand sanitiser in every public space area and all toilets
  • Team member hand washing every 60 minutes
  • Plexiglass separators at front desks and check-in areas
  • High level infection control procedures to collect laundry
  • Sanitisation of guest luggage before it enters the lobby
  • At pools and beaches, groups of guests are spaced six feet (two metres) apart

Additionally, all Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife guests are offered free health care insurance, Stay Safe, which gives protection against any unforeseen circumstances related to the Covid-19 pandemic.  The new medical assistance insurance is available to all guests – both those that book directly and those via tour operators and travel agents – completely free of charge with the aim of continuing to take care of them during their rockstar holiday.

The medical assistance insurance complements Palladium Hotel Group’s new health and safety protocol endorsed by SGS, the world’s leading inspection, verification, analysis and certification entity.

Furthermore, Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife is going the extra step with adaptations to its facilities, services and entertainment programme as part of its commitment to ensure the safety of its guests at all times.

In terms of its F&B offering, restaurants and bars will be open and available according to the health and safety protocols and regulations.

Signature Hard Rock facilities the Rock Spa and Body Rock gym will be open, with pre-booking required. Younger rockers will be able to enjoy the hotel’s three tiered kids clubs and lounges: Club Lullaby, Roxity Kids Club and Teen Spirit. Hard Rock’s world famous Rock Shop, located in the hotel lobby, will also be open daily.
