British Airways has revealed that it has been forced to make further capacity cuts following the government’s failure to adopt pre-departure testing.
The airline has now reduced its operating capacity to just 30%.
The carrier blamed an increase in local lockdowns and the dwindling number of destinations on the travel corridor list for the reduction.
BA parent company IAG said: “Initiatives designed to replace quarantine periods and increase customer confidence to book and travel, such as pre-departure testing and air corridor arrangements, have not been adopted by governments as quickly as anticipated.”
