Tourism Ireland hosted a networking event in Glasgow, ‘Golf in Ireland’ a B2B golf workshop where seventeen top golf tour operators from the island of Ireland, seven of which were from Northern Ireland met with seventeen GB golf tour operators.
The event highlighted the world-class golf and tourism across the island of Ireland and involved a workshop of one-to-one meetings and networking opportunities.
It provided a great platform for the golf and tourism companies to showcase and sell their products and negotiate business for 2026 and beyond.
Julie Wakley, Tourism Ireland’s Head of GB, said:
“We were delighted that these key GB golf tour operators took the time to come and meet with our golf and tourism operators from Northern Ireland and the island of Ireland in Glasgow. Our aim was to highlight our world-class golf and superb luxury tourism offering to the influential golf tour operators and to help secure a greater share of their business in 2026 and beyond.
“We’re also taking every opportunity to highlight the fact that Adare Manor will host the Ryder Cup next year and that the Walker Cup will take place in Lahinch and the Irish Open at Trump International Golf Links in Doonbeg this year. We know that the combination of our world-class golf and our unique brand of hospitality plays a key role in attracting golfers from GB and around the world.”
