Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines Named Which? ‘Recommended Provider’

Fred. Olsen is a cruise line of choice for consumers according to the Which? annual ocean cruise line review – and tops the league table as the best cruise line under £200 a night

The influential independent consumer body polled thousands of cruise guests to find the top scorers and Fred. Olsen was one of only a handful of companies named a Which? ‘Recommended Provider’, for ocean cruise lines that achieved a customer score of 70 per cent or above.

A total of 13 cruise lines – which also included Oceania Cruises, P&O and Celebrity Cruises – were each allocated a star rating based on customer service, guest to space ratio, on-board facilities, cabins, food and drink, port excursions, on board entertainment, ‘description matching reality’ and value for money. Fred. Olsen received a total 38 stars out of a possible 45.

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines ranked highest for its ‘customer service’ and ‘guest to space’ ratio, achieving a five star rating for both.

Justin Stanton, Sales and Marketing Director for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, said: “This is excellent result for us, particularly when comparing the average price per night we charge: it is an important confirmation of the quality of service and value for money we provide.

“To be named ‘Recommended Ocean Line Provider’ by this independent and trusted consumer body is brilliant! It shows we provide fantastic holidays, with award-winning itineraries, which guests find truly rewarding.”
