In an address to the country, Prime Minister Jean Castex announced the lifting of mandatory outdoor face mask wearing from yesterday (2 February)due to the significant drop in Omicron infections across the country and hospitalisations.

Vaccine passports have also now been put in place for entry to certain establishments and entry to the country- negative PCR and antigen tests will no longer be an accepted method of entry into France.
