The four local travel agents who will compete for the 2019 Travel Consultant of the Year title to be presented at this year’s 28th Northern Ireland Travel and Tourism Awards, organised by Northern Ireland Travel News in Association with Blue Insurance, have been named. They are Janine Barr from Terra Travel, Jamie McNeill from Hays Travel, Lynsey Riddell from Clubworld Travel and Julie Gilbert from TUI Castlecourt.
The finalists will be assessed by a panel of local travel industry VIPs in Ten Square Hotel, Belfast on Thursday, September 19.
Jonathan Adair of Northern Ireland Travel News said: “To make the final under such stiff competition is a great honour, and the Travel Consultant of the Year award has always been very competitive. It’s a very individual award and there is no greater accolade than to be personally voted for by your own clients.”
This year’s Awards gala, organised by Northern Ireland Travel News in association with Blue Insurance, will be held on Friday, October 11, in the Slieve Donard Resort and Spa, Newcastle. The winner of the Travel Consultant of the Year award will be handed over on stage on the night.
There has been an unprecedented voting response from the public this year with a phenomenal increase in votes in all the public categories.
Hosting this year’s Awards will Charlie Lawson – better known as Coronation Street’s volatile big Jim McDonald.
