The Foreign Office has admitted some British nationals may be turned away or delayed upon arrival in Tunisia due to security updates by Tunisian authorities.

Brits of Indian, Sri Lankan and Pakistani background, alongside those descended from Afghanistan, Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh and the Maldives may be subject to additional screening, delays and possible refusal of entry into the country.

The British embassy has raised concerns with the Tunisian authorities in resolving the matter however, they are unable to overturn a decision made by the mentioned authorities.

The Foreign Office has also explained how those travelling to the country should be able to provide proof of accommodation upon questioning.
However, The Foreign Office said “This policy is not applied uniformly, and in most cases, if asked, an explanation of alternative accommodation arrangements will be accepted.”.
