Tanya Cathcart has been announced as the recipient of the 2023 Northern Ireland Tourism Industry Award.
She was presented her award at the prestigious Northern Ireland Travel and Tourism Awards on October 13, in the newly renovated Slieve Donard Hotel.
As Marketing Director of Fermanagh Lakeland Tourism, Tanya has been at the forefront of marketing her home county for more than 30 years, flying the flag for Fermanagh both at home and abroad, as well as continually upgrading and upscaling the tourism product and welcoming world leaders and international VIPs to the county.
From her early days, when representing her county was a different proposition, she has continually changed with the many platforms of marketing over the years, leading her team to many successes, most recently at the social media Awards last year.
A true Fermanagh woman, there are many around the world who when asked about the tourism offering available in the county, her name would be the first to mind.
Her retirement from her position will leave a big void, not just in Fermanagh Tourism, but also as a champion of the Tourism Northern Ireland brand.
