Flights Scheduled Between UK and France Increase By 144%

Data reveals that for the month of January 2022,   the number of scheduled flights between the UK and France is 144% higher than January 2021

Following the news that France is set to open its borders to UK tourists, figures has revealed that scheduled flights in January 2022 from the United Kingdom to France are 144% higher than the January 2021 figures.

Data reveals that for the month of January 2022,   the number of scheduled flights between the UK and France is 144% higher than January 2021. However, this statistic is still 66% down compared to the pre-pandemic levels.

Currently, there are 2,179 flights scheduled between the United Kingdom and France this month, equating to 367,164 seats. However in January 2021, only 894 flights were scheduled between the two nations.  A positive increase despite the introduction of France’s travel ban on UK travellers in December 2021.  A travel ban which has only been relaxed today (13 January), allowing UK travellers to visit France, providing the guest has proof of vaccination or a negative test result, taken 24 hours prior to arrival.

For the remainder of this month, from the 13th of January to the 31st, Circum reveals that Air France has the most flights scheduled between the United Kingdom and France, with a total of 667 flights. Followed closely by easyJet who are operating 424 flights and British Airways who have 414 scheduled flights.

The busiest routes between the UK and France is London Heathrow to Charles De Gaulle Airport, with 424 flights in operation.
