With this partnership Eurail.com and Lonely Planet aim to help travellers make most of their rail trip through Europe with inspirational content and practical advice on accommodation, places to eat, tours and activities.
The partnership follows a successful collaboration between both companies earlier this year on Lonely Planet’s ‘Best in Europe 2018’, the agenda-setting list, which highlighted Europe’s hottest, up-and-coming countries, regions and cities for travellers to visit this year. To help travellers see more of Europe, Lonely Planet and Eurail.com offered travellers the chance to win one of ten monthly rail passes to explore the continent this summer.
“At Lonely Planet we have always had a soft spot for train journeys. Whether people prefer high-speed or deliberately go-slow, we’re always keen to inspire travellers to get out on the rails. We always put travellers at the heart of everything we do and joining forces with a company which shares our passion for travel makes this a natural collaboration. That’s why we’re so thrilled to partner with Eurail.com, who will be offering Interrailers and Eurailers a special discount on Lonely Planet content throughout 2019,” said Tom Hall, Editorial Director at Lonely Planet.
“We are very excited to offer Lonely Planet’s guide books to our customers, said Maia Rezig, Partnership Manager at Eurail.com. From now, travellers will seamlessly be able to book their Eurail or Interrail Passes and purchase Lonely Planet guides with an exclusive discount, making it easier – and cheaper – than ever before to get out and discover Europe.”
Eurail.com customers get a discount code to purchase their favourite guide book at the Lonely Planet webshop. More information on the discounts can be found here. Travellers can benefit from the discount until the end of 2019. Eurail and Interrail Passes can be booked up to 11 months in advance and are available for purchase online at Eurail.com or Interrail.eu.
