The EU have announced that the launch of the new ESTA-style e-visa, Etias has been pushed back until Winter 2023.

Originally, the ESTA-style E-Visa was set to come into operation at the end of 2022, before being delayed to May 2023.

However, a recent announcement has revealed that the new e-visa is set to come into operation “by November 2023.”

Travellers from third-countries will be required to apply for these e-visas prior to travel to the Schengen area. Therefore, travellers from the UK , which became a third-country after leaving the European Union in 2020, will be required to complete an e-visa form.
