EU Bans Pakistan Airlines Over Fake Pilot Licenses

The European Union has banned Pakistan International Airlines over the discovery that some pilots were operating under fake licenses

The European Union has banned Pakistan International Airlines from flying to Europe for six months after it was discovered that up to a third of PIA pilots have obtained fake pilot licenses.

Authorities claimed that the pilots paid others to take the pilot exam on their behalf.

The investigation found out that as many as 270 of 860 pilots in Pakistan had cheated.

Four aviation officials have been fired and criminal charges are being considered.
