England has confirmed that it will impose a ban on single-use plastics.
Environment Secretary Thérèse Coffey confirmed that single-use items such as cutlery and plates will be banned.
She said: “This new ban will have a huge impact to stop the pollution of billions of pieces of plastics.”
A start date for the ban has yet to be announced.
