EasyJet has warned of possible travel disruption on some flights this week s an air traffic control strike takes place in France

EasyJet has issued a travel warning to passengers saying disruption is expected on some flights this week.

EasyJet has issued a travel warning to passengers travelling to France on September 16. The airline said an air traffic control strike could impact flights.

A statement on the easyJet website states: “We’ve been advised that there will be an Air TraffIc Control strike taking place in France on Friday September 16.

“Like all airlines operating to/from French airports easyJet expects some disruptions to its flying program and has been requested by the French CAA to proceed to cancellations.

“If your flight is cancelled, we will notify you by SMS and email and you will be given the option to change your flight for free, receive a voucher or a refund.

“All these options will be available through Manage Booking.

“If you are due to travel to or from France on September 16 please check the status of your flight on Flight Tracker, which is available online or through the easyJet app.

“Although this is outside of your control, we’d like to apologise for any disruption to your travel plans as a result of this strike action and thank you for your understanding.”

The air traffic control strike could ground half of all flights to and from France on Friday and is expected to cause widespread chaos.

Passengers are likely to face a difficult weekend of travel in the UK as thousands travel to honour the Queen.

Manchester and Heathrow Airports have issued travel warnings to passengers.

Passengers are advised to travel on another date if they are able as disruption is expected.
