easyJet is preparing for its busiest Easter holiday period, with almost 30,000 flights and 5.2 million seats on offer across Europe during the two-week Easter school break.
Over the first Easter weekend alone, more than 5,000 easyJet flights will take off as travellers head off for spring sunshine.
The airline will operate 16,000 flights from the UK across the Easter holiday period.
Popular destinations that travellers are heading for include, the Canary Islands including Tenerife and Lanzarote, along with mainland favourites Alicante and Malaga.
easyJet holidays are expecting record demand, with bookings up more than a quarter from last year highlighting travellers strong interest in Spain, Portugal and city breaks such as Paris.
Kevin Doyle, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, said:
“Every Easter we see more customers choosing easyJet for our unrivalled network, choice, brilliant package holidays and great value – and this year we’re set to fly more than 30,000 flights across Europe to over 140 destinations.
“Easter marks a welcome chance for families, couples and friends to enjoy a break together, whether that’s a dose of early‑spring sunshine or exploring one of Europe’s great cities. We’re continuing to offer even more flying to the destinations that matter most to our customers, always focused on making travel easy.”
