EasyJet has announced that it is halting all flights to Israel this week following the escalating Israel-Iran tensions

EasyJet has announced that it is halting all flights to Israel this week following the escalating Israel-Iran tensions.

The airline has confirmed that it is postponing all Tel Aviv flights until at least the end of this week.

In a statement that airline said: “Due to the evolving situation in Israel, easyJet has taken the decision to temporarily pause operations to until 21 April. The safety and security of our passengers and crew is always the highest priority.”

Airlines including Air Canada, Delta, Iberia and Lufthansa have also suspended Israel flights until further notice while Qantas is rerouting flights between Australia and Europe to avoid flying over the Persian Gulf and Iraq.

Emirates and Etihad Airways have also announced changes to their flight paths, with both airlines rerouting flights to avoid airspace over certain conflict zones in the Middle East.
