EasyJet Confirms Faro Flights from Belfast – Services to Resume June 15

EasyJet will resume flights to Faro from Belfast, with some services due to start from June 15

EasyJet has confirmed today that flights from Belfast to Faro will be added to their programme of operations from Belfast. Flights will resume from June 15. There will be three flights to Faro weekly.

This follows the news last week that a small number of domestic flights would resume from the airline’s base in Northern Ireland.

There will now also be further weekly frequencies resuming on routes to Bristol and Newcastle, flights to Edinburgh, Glasgow, London Gatwick and Liverpool.

The airline is introducing new measures to help ensure the safety and wellbeing of passengers and crew including enhanced aircraft cleaning and disinfection and mandatory use of face masks.

The airline expects to continue increasing flying as customer demand continues to build and restrictions are relaxed. During the lockdown period, the fleet has been grounded and the aircraft have been maintained in a flight ready condition to enable the airline to resume flights quickly at the right time.

A new range of additional measures will be in place to help ensure the safety and wellbeing of all customers and crew onboard. These include enhanced aircraft disinfection for easyJet aircraft; customers, cabin and ground crew will be required to wear masks; there will also initially be no food service onboard flights, all of which operate on a short-haul network.

The measures have been implemented in consultation with aviation authorities ICAO and EASA, and in line with relevant national authorities and medical advice through the airline’s chief medical adviser.

Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, commented: “We’re delighted to be able to confirm even more flying from Belfast from 15 June. easyJet will continue to work together with its airport partners and relevant authorities to allow our customers in Northern Ireland and across the UK to travel safely once flying resumes.”
