Dublin Airport has recorded that more than 3.8 million passengers travelled through the airport in July, an increase of 2.3% compared with the same month in 2025.
Recording a total of 3,839,635 passengers, July was the busiest month in Dublin Airport’s history and marks the 16th consecutive month of passenger growth.
July witnessed more than 100,000 passengers travelling through the airport’s terminals daily. The busiest day of the month was Sunday 12th July, with 133,472 passengers.
Through the first seven months of 2026, Dublin Airport has seen a increase of +5.2% in passenger numbers, compared with the same period last year.
Gary McLean, Managing Director of Dublin Airport, said: “The summer holiday season is now in full swing, with almost four million passengers travelling through Dublin Airport last month as families made the most of the school holidays and visitors from around the world came to experience our unique Irish hospitality.
“On average, around 123,000 passengers walked through our doors every day of July. That’s the equivalent of one and a half times the capacity of Croke Park on All-Ireland final day passing through the airport in just one day, every day last month. This high level of traffic is now the norm during the peak summer period.
“Despite this, we continued to deliver an excellent operational performance, with 93% of departing passengers passing through security in under 20 minutes. This is testament to the hard work and dedication of our Dublin Airport teams, with thousands of people working 24/7 across the airport campus to deliver a smooth, safe and welcoming experience for the almost four million passengers who travelled in July.
“From security staff and airfield operations to airline partners and retail teams, it’s a collective effort to manage the scale and pace of activity that summer brings. With demand showing no sign of abating in August, there’s another busy month ahead for all who fly the flag for Ireland at the airport.”
