Dubai is set to welcome back British holidaymakers from July 7, but strict health and safety measures have been put in place

Dubai is set to welcome back British holidaymakers from July 7, but strict health and safety measures have been put in place to protect locals and visitors.

Anyone arriving in the country will have to carry a certificate proving that they have recently tested negative for COVID-19. Alternatively, visitors will be required to take a coronavirus test on arrival at the airport.

In a statement, Dubai’s Media Office said: “The new announcement will allow thousands of people affected by the worldwide restrictions in passenger air traffic since the start of the pandemic to resume their travel plans.”

Under the current UK restrictions, anyone returning from abroad to the UK will still face a mandatory 14-day quarantine period.
