Cruising with Jane McDonald Final On-board Silversea – Not To Be Missed!

The final episode of this fourth series of 'Cruising With Jane McDonald' will see Jane continue her nineteen-day South America adventure with a visit to Argentina and Uruguay

Jane, who is onboard Silversea Cruises’ Silver Muse, will visit Buenos Aires and Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay, in the fourth and final episode of the BAFTA Award-winning series, which airs at 9pm on Channel 5, Friday, June 29.

The fourth series continues to pull in high audience figures, with last week’s episode averaging 1.557 million viewers with an 8.63 percent audience share, according to Channel 5.

Last week viewers tuned in to see Jane sail to South America aboard Silversea’s Silver Muse, starting in Valparaiso, Chile and the Falkland Islands.

The episode showcased Silversea’s newest flagship as she sailed to the unique destinations found across South America. The ship began sailing in 2017, offering 596 guests stylish accommodations, small-ship intimacy and all the hallmarks of the Silversea experience.

The all-suite ship has a wide range of fine dining, including the exotic Asian Indochine and the authentic Italian La Terrazza.

Jane continues her South America odyssey, which began in Chile last week and ended up in the Falkland Islands, with a visit to Puerto Madryn in Argentina.

From there, she heads to Gaiman, home to the largest Welsh settlement outside of Wales, where she has a sing-song and enjoys a cup of tea in a traditional tea house.

She then goes to Buenos Aires, where she visits the tomb of the former first lady, Eva Peron, to find out more about this enigmatic figure.

Jane then heads to Punta del Este in Uruguay (the Monte Carlo of South America) before a visit to the capital of Montevideo and a wine-tasting tour.
Friday marks the final episode in the fourth series.

Channel 5’s fourth series to air with host Jane McDonald started on 8 June, with the TV presenter and singer first sailing to Australia and New Zealand aboard Holland America’s MS Noordam.

This series follows the success of the previous series, which aired in February, and was the most successful yet for Channel 5 – averaging 2.2 million viewers during its four-week run.

Silversea Crusies is reported to have experienced a massive bookings boost on the back of being featured in the two-part episode.

Silversea UK managing director of Silversea Peter Shanks said: “Cruising with Jane McDonald is really watchable television. She has a natural and down to earth way of bringing a travel experience to life – and rightly the first travel programme to be awarded a Bafta. I have seen our two Silversea South America episodes – and there are scenes that made me want to book a holiday right there and then.”
