Cross-Channel Sailings Cancelled Due to Weather

Brittany Ferries and Condor Ferries have cancelled or revised their cross-channel services for today and tomorrow (Friday and Saturday August 9 and 10) because of bad weather conditions

Brittany Ferries and Condor Ferries have cancelled cross-channel services today and tomorrow (Friday and Saturday August 9 and 10) blaming ‘adverse weather conditions’.

Brittany Ferries 15:30 Cherbourg to Poole service and the Poole to Cherbourg sailing at 21:15 on Friday, August 9, will not operate.

On Saturday, August 10, the Portsmouth to Cherbourg sailings at 07:30 and 15:30 and the Cherbourg to Portsmouth services at 12:30 and 20:30 are all cancelled.

The ferry company has apologised and says customers should call +44 (0)1752 648637 for advice and assistance.

Brittany Ferries sailings to all other routes are operating as normal.

Meanwhile, Condor Ferries has cancelled its St Malo to Guernsey and return sailing on Friday afternoon as well as its Jersey and return sailing for Friday evening on board Condor Rapide as a result of forecast weather conditions this evening.

Condor Liberation’s service from Poole to Guernsey and Jersey on Saturday August 10 has been cancelled ‘as a result of forecast weather conditions cross channel’, and an ‘amended service’ on the route will operate today (Friday August 9).

Affected customers have been advised to contact the operator at 0345 609 1026 and check the operator’s website for more details.

P&O Ferries said all its cross-channel sailings are currently operating to time or within 15 minutes.
