CMV Lead the Way in Support for Thurrock Education

Cruise and Maritime Voyages (CMV) is delighted to continue their association with Thurrock Education

Britain’s leading independent cruise line’s head office is in Purfleet and CMV’s homeport is the London Cruise Terminal at Tilbury. At the recent Thurrock Education Awards, held at the Grays Civic Hall, CMV presented their sponsored award in the category of ‘Excellence in Early Years Education’.

Miranda Hill, Head of Human Resources & Office Management at CMV said: “As an expanding business with strong connections in Thurrock we are delighted to support education in the area. We rely heavily on local talent to fill vacancies and are actively involved in offering apprentice training and work experience. In addition to this award, we were pleased to offer a CMV cruise holiday for two people. All the names of the winners in each category were put into a draw for this fantastic prize.”

The company has recently announced the addition of two new cruise ships, one of which will be based in Tilbury. Since CMV established a regular cruise holiday programme from the London Cruise Terminal at Tilbury 10 years ago, many local businesses have also benefited from providing support, services and supplies.
