Celebrity’s Largest Choice of Cruises from UK and Irish Ports

Celebrity Cruises has today revealed game-changing cruise ship, Celebrity Apex’s, summer 2020 itineraries

Boasting luxurious accommodation designed by Kelly Hoppen MBE; and the Magic Carpet – a cantilevered venue that travels 16 storeys along the ship’s exterior – the hotly anticipated cruise ship will be based in the UK for a mini season and set sail from Southampton.

Joining Celebrity Apex in Southampton in summer 2020 will be the fresh from dry-dock newly revolutionised Celebrity Silhouette, plus there will also be a third consecutive year of cruises from Dublin with Celebrity Reflection. This marks Celebrity Cruises’ largest-ever choice of cruises from UK and Irish ports.

Cruises in summer 2020 onboard Celebrity Apex, Celebrity Silhouette and Celebrity Reflection go on sale on November 27 for members of Celebrity Cruises’ loyalty scheme, and then November 29 for general release.

Jo Rzymowska, Vice President and Managing Director, Celebrity Cruises UK, Ireland and Asia explains: “2020 will be a landmark year for Celebrity Cruises. I’m incredibly excited to launch and name Celebrity Apex in Southampton for its mini season and first ever cruises in April 2020. Cruising from the UK will have never been so stylish.

“Plus, Celebrity Silhouette will be one of the first ships to unveil a cutting edge, refreshed look, thanks to our $500 million ‘Revolution’ investment, which sees us take the fleet to the Edge. The range of fantastic itineraries through the Mediterranean, Scandinavia, Iceland and British Isles is second to none. 2020 is a great year to take to the sea.”

The second ship in the coveted Edge-class, Celebrity Apex will preview and be officially named in Southampton in April 2020. Five cruises to the Mediterranean and Northern Europe ranging from seven to 10 nights will then be on offer before Celebrity Apex repositions to Barcelona and Civitavecchia (Rome) to continue its European season.

Featuring an inaugural Spain and Portugal cruise from Southampton, plus two European Capital Cities itineraries, Celebrity Apex will also offer a sailing to the Norwegian Fjords to maximise the stunning Infinite Balcony staterooms and views from the Magic Carpet.

Destinations on offer from Southampton during 2020 from Celebrity Apex include some of the most stylish cities in Europe for the design-conscious ship such as Lisbon, Porto, Copenhagen and overnight stays in Oslo. A 10-night Capital Cities cruise on-board Celebrity Apex departing on April 23 2020 costs from £2,149 per person.

Returning to Southampton for a third consecutive season, Celebrity Silhouette’s guests embarking in Southampton in April 2020 will be the first to enjoy Celebrity Cruises’ multi-million-dollar Revolution upgrade programme. Celebrity Silhouette will boast two new Suite categories, a new exclusive outdoor lounge exclusively for Suite Class guests in the Retreat Sundeck, and a modern makeover throughout the ship.

New for Celebrity Silhouette’s 2020 destination programme is a 10-night Capital Cities cruise taking in must-visit places such as Copenhagen, Amsterdam and overnight stays in Oslo. The ship will also offer Iceland and Ireland itineraries with overnight stays in both Reykjavik and Dublin.

During August 2020, Celebrity Silhouette’s programme will feature a 13-night Italian Mediterranean and a 14-night Spain and Portugal cruise, expected to be popular with families. A nine-night Northern Cities cruise on-board Celebrity Silhouette departing on September 19, 2020 costs from £1,849 per person.

Celebrity Reflection will return to Dublin in spring 2020 due to popular demand. 2020 is the third consecutive year Celebrity Cruises has been the only major cruise line to base a ship in Ireland and second season for Celebrity Reflection.

Increasing the number of cruises on offer from Dublin, there will be six sailings including a new 10-night Irish Sea itinerary calling into destinations throughout Scotland, Ireland and England including Portland in Dorset for the first time. Popular itineraries to Iceland and the Norwegian Fjords will also return.
