On 17 December, Carnival Corporation celebrated the official opening of Dubai Harbour Cruise Terminal alongside Shamal Holdings

On 17 December, Carnival Corporation celebrated the official opening of Dubai Harbour Cruise Terminal alongside Shamal Holdings. Following a strategic partnership between Carnival Corporation and Shamal Holdings in 2018 to develop a new cruise port in the heart of modern Dubai.

This port will serve as the main hub for cruise tourism in Dubai.

This official opening was marked by two passenger cruise ships visiting the Dubai Harbour Cruise Terminal for the first time. The Costa Firenze from the Italy-based Costa Cruises along with the German-Based AIDA cruise ship, the AIDABella were the two first cruise ships to visit the new harbour cruise terminal.

The Dubai Harbour Cruise Terminal is capable of harbouring two large cruise-ships simultaneously, making it Dubai’s first ever dedicated twin-terminal cruise port.

This cruise port spans over 120,000 square metres and includes two terminal buildings. These two terminal buildings are equipped with four bespoke Seaport Passenger Boarding Bridges, which are able to support the full turnaround of the largest class of cruise ships in the cruise tourism industry. The Terminal Buildings also offer seating areas for passengers, washrooms, currency exchange, cafes, duty free, and dedicated parking along with much more!

Six Brands from Carnival Corporation are expected to visit the Dubai Harbour Cruise Terminal by 2023. These brands include, AIDA Cruises, Costa Cruises, Cunard, P & O Cruises (UK), Princess Cruises and Seabourn.
