This cruise offers an incredible week onboard the Emerald Princess and enjoys a jam-packed itinerary of mouth-watering ports including Salerno in Italy, Kotor in Montenegro and the Greek ports of Corfu, Khania, Mykonos and Piraeus. The itinerary offers a wealth of history, culture and natural beauty as you will discover stunning and inspirational places.

Before you board your cruise you will enjoy two nights in the eternal city of Rome. This is a perfect amount of time to enjoy some of the sights and sounds of what the Italian capital has to offer. Accommodation is in the elegant four-star Veneto Palace hotel in the heart of Rome.

After Rome, it’s time to begin an incredible week of exploration on board the Emerald Princess where memories are guaranteed to be made and become treasured memories in years to come. The brand new Emerald Princess offers grandeur and luxury and will be home for seven nights. Princess Cruises pride themselves on their wonderful itineraries and this cruise of the Greek Islands is no exception. Alongside great ports of call, Princess also offers a very extensive and well thought out food menu, they say ‘dining onboard a Princess cruise ship is a joyful celebration in the truest sense with every dish “designed for fresh” and crafted to exceed even the most discerning appetites.’

Ports of call during the Princess Greek Islands Cruise & Stay Rome:

Salerno – History lovers favourite, Salerno provides many interesting sites and places to discover. The place is charming and lively and the historic centre is a fantastic mix of new and old. Wander through the square and enjoy the spectacle of medieval churches alongside neighbourhood trattorias, trendy wine bars, and beautiful boutiques. The tree-lined seafront is a great place to lazily stroll and take in the sites of what is widely considered to be one of the most beautiful seaside promenades in all of Europe.

Kotor, Montenegro – The fascinating medieval city of Kotor is a guaranteed highlight of the itinerary. The stunning mountains surrounding the sapphire seas and the historic old town guaranteed this wonderful destination a UNESCO World Heritage status. Take in the breathtaking views over the peaceful Adriatic, or even dive into adventure and swim, snorkel and kayak to explore the fascinating sea life. For bird watchers, pelicans and flamingos are some of Montenegro’s other hidden treasures.

Corfu – The glorious island of Corfu is a long time favourite of holidaymakers. Prepare for scenery so beautiful and an atmosphere so pleasing, you may never want to return to the ship! Topflight suggests hopping on the shuttle bus, or taking the 20-minute scenic route via the seafront, both of which will take you to the heart of Corfu. Amble the narrow streets that wind their way throughout the historic town center, peruse the quaint boutiques, visit one of the many museums, or simply head to Spianada Square, pull up a chair, order a drink, and watch the world go by.

Khania, Crete – Weaving a tapestry of awe and wonder, Chania, Crete’s port, is a centuries-old mix of Minoan myths, well-preserved Venetian mansions, a mesmerising Old Town complete with labyrinthine passageways, and atmospheric Kastelli Hill, once the site of a Roman acropolis. But Chania may be best known as the gateway to the breathtaking 4,000 year-old Minoan ruins at Knossos, home of the legendary King Minos and the part man and part bull known creature as the Minotaur. And around every corner of this idyllic area, you’ll find picturesque villages, breathtaking views and architectural wonders that will remain with you for a lifetime.

Mykonos, Greece – The glamorous resort of Mykonos. This will give you a true flavour of what the Cyclades islands are really like, with their traditional, whitewashed architecture and maze of narrow streets. There’s plenty to see and do during your day of exploration in Mykonos. You can’t visit without venturing to one of its beautiful beaches. Topflight advise hopping in a taxi and taking the twenty minute trip to the southern – and ultra picturesque – Super Paradise beach.

Piraeus, Greece – The final port on the itinerary is Piraeus in Greece. Here you will disembark the Emerald Princess and be transferred to the airport.
